June 2008 - Steel Storage Europe bid farewell to Allen Lynch
Steel Storage would like to extend their gratitude and best wishes to Allen Lynch in his retirement following almost 12 years with the company, based in the UK office. With a career spanning over 50 years, he definitely deserves a well earned-break! Allen came to Steel Storage following 31 years as a Director for a heating and ventilation company in Croydon where he ran the steelworks side of the business. Allen’s role in Steel Storage has been crucial to the development of the European operation. Managing Director of Steel Storage Group, Jonathan Perrins, recruited Allen as the first employee in Europe and together, along with Jonathan’s wife Katie, they set up what is now the leading European self storage design and construction company with over 40 employees. Jonathan, who has since returned to Australia, had the following words to say:
“This is a special but sad day for the company watching Allen go. He has been instrumental in getting the European business off the ground – we are all extremely happy and proud of all that Allen has achieved and wish him and his family a healthy and happy future”
Allen is a keen gardener and looks forward to taking advantage of his time off by tending to his vast array of plants and flowers. Allen also hopes to rekindle his fishing hobby as well as spending time with his two children, six grandchildren and wife Norma. Allen would like to wish success to all his colleagues and customers
