Steel Storage Main Sponsor for SSAA Annual Conference
October 2009 - Steel Storage was once again the main sponsors for the Self Storage Association of Australasia annual conference held on our very own Queensland Gold Coast.
Attracting nearly 300 delegates from all Australian states, New Zealand and an International contingent from various regions within Asia it was one of the most successful conferences ever held in Australia.
The night out at Movie World was a great hit. Following the action packed “Stunt Drivers” show it was off to the “Superman” ,”Bat Man” and “Bat Wing” rides just enough to churn up the stomachs ready for a sumptuous buffet dinner amongst the set of the main streets movie ‘back lot’ facades.
Being the 20th anniversary of the inaugural conference it was quite apt that our own CEO, Jon Perrins, being one of the early members, presented the last “20 years” at the awards dinner as current President of the Association – some of the early photos were quite amusing.
The Steel Storage and PTI Australasia stands were, yet again, another winner with interactive displays, graphical presentations and the ever popular ‘swipe for a bottle of wine’ through a PTI interactive free entry ‘Proximity Card’ draw. The addition this year of a huge fridge full of soft drink and local Aussie beer was a big hit with the late afternoon ‘weary’ punters.
A great success with plenty of leads to follow up in the coming weeks along with the satisfaction of having caught up with so many old and new friends...
